When setting up an employee record for an employee that is a harvest casual or casual beater when prompted with the P46 selection select either Harvest Casual or Casual Beater and click the OK button.
The P46 selection screen can also be activated by clicking the ‘Enter New Starter Declaration’ button in the employee maintenance Tax and NI tab.
- If Harvest Casual is selected the employee’s tax code will be set to NT and their NI code letter set to X
- If Casual Beater is selected the employee’s tax code will bet set to NT and their NI code letter set to A
